The beautiful Atlantic Ocean

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort has been a part of my family’s life since 2003. I have always loved the ocean. I have fond memories of vacationing with my grandparents when I was younger. My grandmother also loved the ocean. However, most of my beach memories were of a crowded, noisy beaches. Disney’s resort is quite different and some of our favorite vacation days are spent at this little slice of paradise on the Atlantic Ocean.

Disney’s Vero Beach, located along A1A between Sebastian and Vero Beach, Florida, almost two hours south of the Walt Disney World Resort. The resort is nestled along the coast, surrounded by vegetation and the Atlantic Ocean. You will need transportation by personal car or rental as Disney does not provide transportation to this resort.

Beautiful sunsets at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort

Upon arrival, your first stop is the guard shack. As Disney Vacation Club members, we are always greeted with our standard “Welcome Home.” They will request photo ID. The moment you walk through the front door of the Inn, you get the first glance at the coastal charm in the looming four-story atrium. After checking in at Guest Services, you will soon be on your way to fun island adventures.

The resort features the following room types:

Inn Rooms – These room types offer two queen beds, a ceiling fan, full bath, a mini refrigerator, coffeemaker, toaster, microwave, Blu-Ray player, iron and ironing board, safe, and flat screen TV. These rooms sleep four adults.

Ocean View Inn Room – These rooms are housed in the main Inn building and have a view of the ocean. While most are directly facing the ocean, there are a few at the ends of the building that offer a slice of Ocean View from the balcony.

Garden View Inn Room – These rooms are housed in the main Inn building and have a view of the foliage, walkways or parking lot (where there is also foliage). These rooms are on the opposite side of the of the hall from the Ocean View rooms. However, most of these rooms do offer an amazing sunset view in the evening.

Villas – These rooms are located in buildings not attached to the main Inn. There are three buildings 12, 14 and 15. In these buildings you will find:

Deluxe Studios – similar to the Inn rooms, these rooms sleep four adults and offer the same amenities. The configuration is a little different with a queen bed and a pull-out sofa sleeper. The Deluxe Studios can be connected to 1-bedroom villas to create a 2-bedroom villa.

One-bedroom Villa – These rooms sleep up to 5 adults and feature a King bed and full living area with a queen-sized sofa sleeper and a twin-sized sleeper chair. A Pack ‘n Play is available in the closet. The living area includes a flat screen TV with Blu-Ray player, full kitchen with stove, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. You will find dishes, cookware, and utensils you need to prepare most basic meals.

Two-Bedroom Villa – These rooms sleep up to 9 adults and are generally a combo of a one-bedroom and two-bedroom unit. They are available as a single-entry unit, or as a lock-off unit with two entries, one in the one-bedroom side and a separate entry for the studio side of the villa.

Recreation at the resort includes miniature golf, a pool with corkscrew slide, a children’s water play area, tennis courts, soccer fields, a fishing pond, bicycle rentals and more.
